1. What is your role at Diamond?
I’m the Service Desk Team Leader/Chief Minion Wrangler.

2. What do you like most about working at Diamond?
The thing I love the most about working at Diamond is the people. I’m very fortunate to be working with helpful, talented, skilled, caring and fun individuals – There is never a shortage of people at Diamond to bounce ideas off to help resolve issues or improve services.

3. Why did you choose to enter the field?
I’ve been passionate about technology since I was a child, my first IT role was on a Dialup ISP Helpdesk; I’ve worked in IT in some form or another ever since.

4. If you could meet anyone, living or dead who would you choose?

5. People would be surprised to know…
I’ve known the Diamond ICT Manager Phillip Good for about 11 years, I started working with him when I was 19. He is a genuine, friendly and helpful guy so when I had to pick up a new car in Sydney he was kind enough to help, although there is only 10 odd years’ difference between us the car dealer had assumed that Phillip Good was my father.

I’ve rewarded his kindness by recounting this story to pretty much everyone who knows us both for the past ten years:)

Win 10_June newsletterWith the free upgrade offer from Microsoft expiring 29th July – our advice is to consider upgrading existing Windows 7 and Windows 8 systems to Windows 10 before this offer ends.

Our team have been running Windows 10 for many months now, with the general agreement that this is Microsoft’s best operating system to date. It’s stable, reliable and still familiar enough that your staff should not experience too many difficulties with the transition.

The fundamental challenge of software compatibility still remains the same and ultimately the decision on how best to upgrade your systems is more a business decision than a purely technical decision.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us and we will happily point you in the right direction.
